Yoga Den, a Yoga Alliance registered school, offers yoga teacher training and certification programs in Jacksonville Florida. Program Director Alyson Foreacre, E-RYT, has certifications in Ashtanga, Discovery, and Pre and Post Natal. Through her many teachers of various yoga styles (Kripalu, Jivamukti, Power Vinyasa, and Kundalini to name a few), she has developed the Sun Power class, her unique brand of power yoga. She designed the teacher training program, which has seen a vast number of graduates thus far, some of whom teach locally at M Body Yoga, Peaceful Yoga, Yoga Fusion, Bliss Yoga, Mindful Motion Yoga, Yoga Life, and gyms across Jacksonville.
Yoga Den was the first Yoga Alliance Registered School in Jacksonville FL. The 200 Hr teacher training can be taken either as a weekend course spread over nine months, or as an intensive that is usually offered during the summer. Priding itself on a “no-judgment” attitude, Yoga Den does not require an extensive amount of prerequisite training to enter the program.
The curriculum at Yoga Den includes 70 asanas including sun salutations, and graduates are equipped to teach the studio’s particular brand of classes including Yoga Basics, Mind Body and Sun Power. Graduates will also find themselves comfortable creating sequences for any class they desire, from beginner to mixed-level and advanced. The business of yoga covers everything from just starting to find teaching opportunities to opening your own yoga studio. Trainees enjoy free memberships to Yoga Den during their trainings, and also receive 10% off towards membership post graduation.
If you are not looking to receive a certification or would rather train at your own pace, Yoga Den also offers weekend workshops that range from a few hours to a few days. Many of these workshops are eligible for Continuing Education credits and can even contribute to 500 Hr teacher trainings.
